St Catherine’s School in Toorak has a rich history going back over 130 years, educating young women for generations. As part of a continued investment, the school recently undertook a major redevelopment to build a new space for music education.

Designed by McIldowie Partners and delivered by Maben, the project included the construction and redevelopment of a new Music School. The new facilities feature individual tuition rooms, specialised practice spaces, rehearsal and performance areas, a recital auditorium, and upgraded backstage facilities.

Our scope included BACH WriteWall® Whiteboards and L15 Porcelain Enamel Whiteboards, installed across rehearsal rooms, dance studios, classrooms, and other teaching areas. The combination of large-format WriteWall® surfaces and durable L15 whiteboards provides flexible writing space to support teaching, team learning, music notation, and everyday activities.

The completed redevelopment provides St Catherine’s students with a contemporary, purpose-built environment to learn, rehearse, collaborate, and perform.
