Frequently Asked Questions
Lead times are typically 4–6 weeks.
This may vary depending on:
• Project scale
• Customisation requirements
• Supplier stock levels
• Seasonal demand
For large-scale education or commercial projects, we recommend engaging early to secure production scheduling.
Yes. We offer supply-only services interstate across Australia.
At this stage, installation services are available within Victoria only.
The gloss level you choose should be guided by the primary function of the whiteboard:
• Low Gloss – Best for dual-purpose projection and writing. Reduces glare and reflection from projectors.
• Ultra Gloss – Ideal for everyday writing and brainstorming. Offers superior erasability and resistance to ghosting.
• Hygienic Gloss – Enhanced with antibacterial properties, ideal for healthcare and high-sensitivity environments.
All BACH boards are manufactured using Polyvision e³ CeramicSteel, which is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze and designed to retain writing and erasing qualities for the life of the building.
Yes. Our whiteboards are manufactured in Melbourne at our Bayswater factory using premium Polyvision e³ CeramicSteel surfaces.
We also partner with leading global suppliers (including Polyvision and Australian acoustic manufacturers) to ensure every product meets Australian compliance standards and performance expectations.
Yes. Unlike many budget options, all BACH Commercial whiteboards are magnetic.
Our boards are manufactured using porcelain enamel bonded to steel (e³ CeramicSteel), which naturally provides magnetic capability. This is something we consider a bonus feature. Many off-the-shelf or budget whiteboards are not magnetic, so it’s important to check this before purchasing.
Ghosting is typically caused by marker residue building up on the surface over time. Our whiteboards use non-porous CeramicSteel; ghosting can almost always be prevented with simple maintenance.
• Clean the board regularly
• Perform a deeper clean weekly using a 30% isopropyl alcohol solution.
• Always rinse with water after using any cleaning agent.
• Use high-quality dry-erase markers.
• Replace markers once they begin to dry out.
• Avoid leaving writing on the board for extended periods.
Regular cleaning removes marker oils before they accumulate, keeping the surface bright, clear, and performing as intended.
Our house-made whiteboards come with a 25-year surface warranty.
Polyvision e³ CeramicSteel surfaces are also backed by the Polyvision Forever Warranty, guaranteeing writing and erasing performance for the life of the building under normal use.
WriteWall® (https://www.bach.com.au/whiteboards/writewall-whiteboard)is our floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall whiteboard system designed for large-scale collaboration. It uses a mounting system, which allows multiple panels to join seamlessly with a minimal 25mm projection from the wall. It’s ideal for classrooms, boardrooms, training facilities, and high-traffic public environments where maximum writable area is required.
WWL (Whiteboard Wall Lining) is a low-profile wall-lining whiteboard panel system offering a continuous writable surface with discrete trims and installation flexibility. While still manufactured using premium e³ CeramicSteel, WWL is designed for projects that don’t require the integrated mounting system of WriteWall®.
The ideal acoustic panel thickness depends on the type of noise you are trying to control.
• 12mm panels are suitable for reducing mid-to-high frequency noise such as speech in offices and classrooms.
• 24mm panels provide significantly improved absorption and are ideal for open-plan workplaces, meeting rooms, and learning environments.
• Thicker solutions (such as 50mm systems) can further improve low-frequency absorption.
Our team can assess your space and recommend the most effective solution.
