The newly constructed Wurun Senior Campus opened its doors in 2022 at the historic Fitzroy Gasworks site. The secondary school brings together students from both Collingwood College and Fitzroy High School and currently accommodates up to 650 students.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the campus spans five levels and provides a variety of learning spaces, including collaborative areas, study nooks, and breakout zones. 

In late 2020, BESIX Watpac engaged BACH Commercial to design, supply, and install acoustic treatments and whiteboards throughout the new campus. Our scope included the installation of WriteWall® whiteboards, which provide teachers and students with floor-to-ceiling writable surfaces. Across each floor, we also installed acoustic wall panels in a variety of configurations to absorb sound and create quieter, more comfortable environments for students and staff.

The acoustic panels installed by BACH Commercial were finished in a variety of bright colours, including shades of green, blue, and orange, which supports the campus’s goal to inspire VCE, VET, and VCAL students.

BACH Commercial’s installations played a central role in delivering engaging and acoustically balanced spaces that enhance both teaching and learning. Today, Wurun Senior Campus stands as a benchmark for contemporary educational design, offering facilities that reflect community values while equipping students with the resources they need to thrive.
