East Bentleigh Primary School's new learning facility required specialist acoustic treatments and flexible teaching surfaces across modern classrooms and a large assembly space. BACH Commercial partnered with May Constructions to deliver a comprehensive acoustic and whiteboard solution that balanced performance with architectural design.

The design brief called for ceiling baffles that would not only manage acoustics but also add a sense of creativity and movement, imitating the natural forms of sand dunes. Classrooms required wall coverings that supported teaching by being pinnable and Velcro-receptive, along with whiteboard systems that maximised wall space.

Horizontal sliding whiteboards were installed to provide dynamic teaching options, enabling multiple boards to be used interchangeably without limiting wall space. In the assembly hall, curved acoustic ceiling baffles were designed and installed, creating a dune-like effect that was both visually striking and highly effective in absorbing sound. Acoustic wall fabrics in warm, sandy tones were also applied throughout the building to improve comfort and reduce noise.

BACH Commercial delivered a complete supply and installation service for all acoustic and whiteboard elements. By managing the entire package, BACH ensured the project was completed on time, to specification, and in compliance with Australian standards.
