Tounnin Wominjeka Youth Hub
Completed in July 2024, the Tounnin Wominjeka Southern Peninsula Youth Hub is a new pavilion at the Olympic Park Recreation Reserve in Rosebud. The facility provides local support services, programs, and a drop-in space for young people aged 10 to 25 living in and around the Mornington Peninsula. Spread across two levels, the Youth Hub includes classrooms, meeting rooms, workspaces, recreation areas, and art spaces.
BACH Commercial worked with 2Construct on this project to supply and install a package of acoustic treatments and whiteboards throughout the facility. Our scope included acoustic wall panels in white, grey, silver, and green tones, along with acoustic ceiling panels and baffles in light and dark green tones to provide effective noise absorption. Classrooms and workspaces were fitted with BACH L15 Porcelain Enamel Whiteboards featuring an ultra-gloss surface for premium usability and durability.
Tounnin Wominjeka means “Warm Welcome” in the Bunurong language, a perfect description of what this new space represents for young people in the Southern Peninsula. The finished Youth Hub balances function with comfort, offering acoustically treated spaces that support a wide range of activities. By integrating sound-absorbing wall and ceiling treatments with durable whiteboards and pinboards, BACH Commercial helped the Mornington Peninsula Shire deliver a facility that is both practical and inviting.
