Ngayuk College
Located in Kalkallo, Ngayuk College is a newly built secondary school designed to support the growing community in Melbourne’s North. The school opened its classrooms to Year 7 students in early 2026, providing a modern, purpose-built learning environment.
Ngayuk (pronounced ngah-yook), was selected in consultation with the local community and Traditional Owners. It is derived from the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung language, meaning “white cockatoo”.
Delivered in collaboration with Hutchinson Builders, the double-storey facility incorporates a range of learning and staff environments, including administration areas, a library, general classrooms, science and creative spaces, flexible learning zones, and dedicated music and presentation areas.
BACH was engaged to supply and install a significant package of acoustic treatments and whiteboard writing surfaces throughout the new buildings. This included acoustic wall treatments, suspended ceiling baffles, ceiling panels, pinboards, and L15 Standard Whiteboards across classrooms and shared learning spaces.
This project featured Autex Composition® acoustic solutions in a curated palette of Jade, Opera, Stonewash, Calypso, and Parthenon, bringing both functional acoustic performance and vibrant visual identity to the interiors.
