Karwan Primary School (formally known as Riverdale East Primary School) opened in early 2023. Delivered by Hutchinson Builders as part of the VSBA Bundle A program, the school was designed around colour, culture, and community, providing a vibrant new learning environment for Prep to Grade 6 students in the City of Wyndham.

Each building features a bold colour palette, with interiors enriched by acoustic ceiling panels showcasing First Nations and environmental imagery. The school’s name, ‘Karwan’, was chosen through community consultation, acknowledging Aboriginal histories, cultures, and local traditional owners. ‘Karwan’ is a Bunurong word referring to the nankeen kestrel bird. 

BACH Commercial was engaged to supply and install pinboards, whiteboards, and acoustic ceiling panels across the school’s facilities. Classrooms were fitted with BACH Whiteboards, and 12mm pinboard panels were installed throughout the space. To complement the vibrant architectural design, multipurpose acoustic wall fabrics and ceiling panels were applied, offering both colour and sound absorption.
