Kala Primary School
Kala Primary School, located in Cranbourne North, is set to open in early 2026. The name Kala, meaning “dog” in the Bunurong Boonwurrung language, was chosen through a collaborative process involving the local community, council, and the Traditional Owner group.
Commissioned by the Victorian School Building Authority and built by Hutchinson Builders, the school features two learning neighbourhoods, an administration building, a library, outdoor hard courts, a gymnasium, and a vibrant community hub.
BACH Commercial was engaged to deliver a complete package of acoustic treatments, pinboards, and whiteboards. Our work included:
Acoustic panels in Opera and Jade.
L15 porcelain enamel whiteboards and WWL wall-fitted whiteboards.
Wall coverings and ceiling baffles for sound control and visual appeal.
Installation of acoustic panels around various architectural features, including striking window centrepieces.
In the school’s brand-new gymnasium, we installed thick, heavy acoustic panels on both ceilings and walls to reduce noise, improve insulation, and protect the building surfaces. This installation required close coordination with trusted subcontractors to ensure precision, quality, and alignment with the project timeline.
This project demonstrates BACH Commercial’s ability to deliver large-scale multi-purpose installations that balance aesthetic appeal, acoustic comfort, and functional resilience.
